Plain Language for Business Communicators
This year, the 76th annual Association of Business Communication (ABC) conference has invited Annetta Cheek, the Board Chair for the Center for Plain Language, to give the keynote address. Dr. Cheek will discuss the Plain Writing Act of 2010 and its implications for business communication practitioners.
The conference will be held in Montreal, Canada, this October. This invitation brings business communication academics and practitioners closer to understanding the importance of the use of plain language and the effect that plain language can have on citizens and consumers.
We applaud ABC for offering Dr. Cheek this invitation, and we look forward to the conference and her talk.
