Robin Grunder combines a strong interest in using design to organize and clarify content with a focus on the user experience across a variety of touch points. With a double major in English and Art History, Robin thought she had to decide between words and pictures. She began her career as an editor of mass market fiction, until lured by the siren song of the graphic design world.
Starting her own studio, she designed branding projects, marketing collateral communications and overall creative programs for non-profits and small businesses, until joining the Simplification practice at Addison as an information designer and ultimately as design director for the practice. At Addison, Robin worked with Fortune 500 companies in the financial and health insurance sectors, using information design principles to make functional documents clear and engaging. In 2014 she started Blue Egg Strategy, combining information design and customer experience principles to help words and pictures work together.
